Claws Of Power Jack Fusion Device

The exclusive Bacon Jack item that turns a swarm of 1-costs into one Jack Hero.

Last updated:

Bacon Jack (also called Bang Jack in the Chapter 1 roster post) is the tiny 1-cost melee everyone spams. Garlic Sprouts wrote that he melts against fancy mid-to-late units and big AoE — so the designer gave him an exclusive item: the Bacon Jack Fusion Device (Steam patches say Jack Fusion Device).

What the button does

From the March 2026 TapTap post:

  • Press it and all the little Bacon Jacks on the field fly toward a light point.
  • They fuse into Jack Hero.
  • HP and attack both scale with how many Jacks you sacrificed.
  • A big Jack Hero can tank and hit hard — “he finally doesn’t have to be bullied by Solo anymore.”

The choice is the whole minigame: keep Jack as throwaway frontline, or cash the swarm for one muscle hero. You cannot have both the swarm and the hero at once. The item consumes the Jacks that are already walking.

The August 23 buff

The live Steam patch “significantly increased the maximum HP and Attack of units summoned by the upgraded Jack Fusion Device.” Two takeaways:

  1. The device can be upgraded. Exact gold or fish costs were not published; look for an upgrade path on the item itself rather than a wiki-invented table.
  2. After August 23, fused Jack Hero is supposed to be a real body, not a joke transformation. If your Hero still feels paper, you either fused too few Jacks or you are on a pre-buff build.

How to play the Jack plan

  1. Put Bacon Jack in the deck. Without him the item has no identity.
  2. Hold dried fish and send several Jacks as a wave, not a trickle. Fusion scaling cares about bodies on the field.
  3. Optionally gear Jacks with HP and ATK — the developer said even cheap Jack becomes a gremlin with those two stats. Extra slots on other cats do not apply to Jack unless a later patch says so; Jack was not in the August 23 extra-slot list (A-Dai, Fat Cat, Xiaofu, Big Orange).
  4. Press fusion when the swarm has landed and before AoE deletes them. If you wait until they are already dead, you fuse nothing.
  5. After Hero lands, play the rest of the lane normally: A Qiang behind, Xiao Fu to shove, Garrison Whistle if Hero is wounded but alive.

Solo is the named bully in the fusion post. Piercing arrows delete scattered 1-costs. Fusion is how Jack answers Solo. Conversely, if you are running Solo, expect enemy Jack players to fuse; Clockwork Mouse can drag the clump, or Nuba can eat a low-HP Hero.

What not to confuse it with

  • Clone Shovel (Stage 7 equipment) can spawn a clone after many attacks. That is gear, not Jack fusion.
  • Meow Mine summons a Boss to assist. That is a different button.
  • White’s dash had an infinite-dash bug fixed August 29. Unrelated to fusion travel.
  • There is no official “Jack season” or fusion ranked mode.

When to skip the Jack plan

If a stage is all AoE and you cannot land three Jacks at once, fusion will always look weak — you are sacrificing a trickle. Switch to Blue Fatty / Big Ju and keep Jack in reserve for Hard Mode gold maps where you can swarm safely behind Midas Touch.

If you want the visual, Garlic Sprouts posted a GIF with the TapTap article. This wiki does not hotlink it; the Getting Started and Campaign Walkthrough videos show live Jacks even when they are not fusion tutorials.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Fast answers to the questions players ask most.

Which cat does Jack Fusion work on?

Bacon Jack (Bang Jack), the 1-cost starter melee. The device is exclusive to him in the developer’s post.

Does a bigger swarm make a stronger Jack Hero?

Yes. Garlic Sprouts wrote that HP and attack scale with how many Jacks you sacrifice.

What did the August 23 patch change?

It significantly increased max HP and Attack of units summoned by the upgraded Jack Fusion Device.

Is Jack Fusion equipment or a battle item?

A battle item you press in combat. It consumes Jacks already on the field. HP/ATK equipment on Jack is separate and still useful.
