Claws Of Power Demo versus full game

Steam app 4108190 is free and still live — here is what it actually contains versus the August 21 release.

Last updated:

Players search “Claws Of Power demo” because the trial sat on Steam for months before launch. The demo is still a separate free app: Claws Of Power Demo (Steam app 4108190). The full game is app 3998900. This page quotes the demo store copy and the live patches. It does not invent a chapter-3 demo unlock.

What the demo store page actually says

Released 12 November 2025. Developer 蒜苗 (Garlic Sprouts), publishers 蒜头 and 3DM Games — same credits as the full game.

About-this-demo bullets, in the store’s own English:

  • First two chapters of the official game content.
  • Collect cats, spend dried fish, summon them.
  • Upgrade the base (health) and the small-fish factory (production speed).
  • Four battle props you can use during fights.
  • Equipment matching.
  • One challenging lord with “generous rewards.”
  • Same “conquer strongholds” closer as the full page, without the full campaign count.

Languages on the demo page: English and Simplified Chinese (interface + subtitles). The full game later added French, German, Russian, Japanese, Portuguese-Brazil, and Spanish-Latin America.

Reviews on the demo page as of this writing: Positive, 83% of 43; recent 30 days Mixed (64% of 14). That is a small sample. Treat it as “people liked the trial,” not a Metacritic.

Demo patches that still matter after you buy

Steam news for the parent app is the history of this trial:

  • March 17, 2026 trial update — main-city talents, mercenaries after repeated fails, Meow Mine, new character A-Dai, Chapters 1–2 rearranged, White’s melee damage-reduction aura, windowed mode and custom resolution.
  • Next Fest demo major update — first Chapter 1 secret stage unlocking Cook; Endless Duanzang on the Boss Stage.
  • August 7, 2026 “Demo Update Now Live”Hand of God, Thick Iron Armor, opening cutscene, complete idle system, complete save system, multilingual support, rebalanced difficulty, UI iteration, bug fixes, Steam Cloud Save.

If your muscle memory still matches a November 2025 screenshot, the March 17 rearrange is why Chapter 1 nodes moved. Full timeline: Launch & demo history.

Full game extras the demo does not claim

The August 19, 2026 announcement (full version) is the count that is not on the demo blurb:

  • 6 regions, 93 standard levels.
  • Then 44 Hard Mode levels after the campaign.
  • 3 hidden stages and 3 mini-bosses (launch copy also names Duancang, Degumiao, Father).
  • Hidden companions Cook, Jimmy, Spring Roll on the launch-eve post.
  • 30 Steam Achievements (store); client system added August 27 — see Achievements.
  • Launch price $6.99 / ¥28, 20% off through September 4, 2026. That sale is over. Steam now lists the full price.

The demo never advertised Hard Mode, the 93-count, or the achievement overlay. Do not expect those on 4108190.

Unit test from the demo era (embedded below)

On 20 January 2026 the official Garlic Sprouts YouTube channel reuploaded a player-made demo test. The developer’s own description says the tester measured units, items, and gear, then recommended Bacon Jack, Garfield, Solo, and the Extra Fish item. Garlic Sprouts wrote that the video would be a reference to buff weaker units. That is as close as this game gets to an official “these four are worth learning in the trial.”

Extra Fish does not appear in the dated Steam patch bullets. It is a real name from that official video. This wiki will not invent a dried-fish amount for it. Put it on the items bar if your demo build shows it; skip it if it does not.

Bacon Jack, Garfield, and Solo have developer copy on the cat list and the S-tier page. Use those, not a 4-2-1-1 graphic.

Should you buy after the demo?

Buy if you liked the two-chapter loop and want the rest of Meow Island, Hard Mode gold (doubled August 23), Lord Challenge beyond the single demo lord, and Cloud between a desktop and a Deck. Skip if you bounced off the single-lane timing — the full game is the same genre, just longer.

Steam lists the full game as single-player only. There is no PvP unlock hiding behind the purchase.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Fast answers to the questions players ask most.

Is the Claws Of Power demo still free?

Yes. Steam app 4108190 is a free demo released 12 November 2025. It is not a time-limited key.

How much of the campaign is in the demo?

The demo store page says the first two chapters, four battle props, and one lord. The full game is 93 stages plus 44 Hard Mode.

Does demo progress carry to the full game?

August 7 added Steam Cloud Save to the demo. Steam has not published a bullet that promises a one-click import into 3998900. Keep Cloud on and check in-client after purchase.

Which cats did the official demo video recommend?

The January 20, 2026 Garlic Sprouts reupload highlights Bacon Jack, Garfield, Solo, and Extra Fish. That is a tester-plus-developer note, not a patch buff table.
