Claws Of Power Tier list
Current ranking of every cat — based on PvE fights up to level 60 and the competitive meta.
Welcome to the Claws Of Power tier list hub. This page gathers our current ranking and every recommended deck for new players.

How to read the tier list
Our tier list ranks cats on three axes:
- Boss single-target — performance against weekly bosses.
- Competitive mode — synergy in 4v4 teams.
- Farm cost — time to unlock the cat to full potential.
A tier-A cat stays excellent for most content. Tier S is reserved for cats that genuinely change how you play.
Current meta
With patch 1.2, Sapphire decks dominate the meta: a buff-stacking combo that triples damage after 8 seconds of combat. Support cats that maintain the buff have become as important as the main DPS.
How often we update the ranking
Our tier list refreshes with every major patch. Hotfixes usually do not change the ranking, but they sometimes add a small note to the affected cat. The full re-rank happens on average every four to six weeks.
Why we use a 4-axis evaluation
Each cat is judged on four axes: single-target boss performance, AoE mob clear, competitive viability, and farm cost. A cat can rank tier A on PvE but tier B on competitive if its kit is too specialised. Conversely, a cat can be tier B overall but tier A for one specific role — that is why we keep the role columns separate from the global rank.
When to follow the tier list
The tier list is a useful tool when you have already decided your role mix and you need to pick the strongest option within that role. It is less useful at the very start, where accessibility and farm cost matter more than raw power. Beginners should start from Best cats for beginners and come back to the tier list once their roster covers all roles.
Tier list methodology
Our methodology combines three sources: community polls on the Garlic Sprouts Discord (typically 800+ responses per cycle), empirical damage tests on a standardised dummy boss, and the tier list maintained by the official competitive ladder’s top 50 players. We weight the empirical data at 50%, the community polls at 30%, and the pro tier list at 20%.
When the three sources disagree, we err on the conservative side and rank the cat at the lower tier until a future patch clarifies the meta.
The tier list is one of several decision aids on this wiki. Cross-reference it with the S-tier cats detail and the Best cats for beginners guide for a complete picture.
Frequently Asked Questions
Fast answers to the questions players ask most.
How often is the tier list updated?
With each major patch (every 4 to 6 weeks). For hotfixes, we adjust the "Notes" column without redoing the full ranking.
Are tier-B cats bad?
No. Tier B groups solid but specialised cats — excellent for specific content but less versatile. A perfectly synergistic tier-B cat beats a misplaced tier-S.
How do I farm a tier-S cat?
Each cat unlocks through a quest chain. The [S-tier cats](/tier-list/s-tier-cats/) guide lists the quest tree of each cat.
